State hopes to save nearly $90 million
The stargazette.com reports - ” The state this week notified 544 businesses that they face being removed from New York’s lucrative tax-break program, while another 96 companies had their benefits restored.
The state’s economic-development arm, Empire State Development Corp., said it has reviewed the certification of more than 7,000 businesses that had been entered in the state’s Empire Zone program, which provides tax incentives to companies across New York.”
