City and State released its Utilities Scorecard yesterday, featuring statistics on New York State’s energy market. The statistics are also featured in the 2013 “Power Trends” report published by New York Independent System Operator. The report states that although the “near-term outlook for New York’s electric system is positive,” the state faces many long-term emerging energy issues. One of these issues is the Indian Point power facility which, if shut down with no replacement, could result in rolling blackouts. Read the full report here.
