State to improve public land

Governor Cuomo recently announced more than $17 million in funding to improve recreation areas located on public lands, including campgrounds, day use areas, trails and boat launches. The Governor said improving state land would “spur economic development and job creation, boost tourism and strengthen regional economies.”  The recreation projects will be funded from NY Works II and the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) will create jobs and support local businesses as improvements are made at more than 100 sites across the state.
