| Rob Lillpopp was named director of communications in July 2011. Prior to his appointment in this role, Lillpopp served as director of member communications for the organization.
Before joining The Business Council’s communications team in 2008, Lillpopp worked for JPMorgan Chase Electronic Financial Services as a marketing and communications consultant. He’s also served as the Director of Communications for the New York State Department of Labor under both the Pataki and Spitzer administrations. Lillpopp also has over 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry, which includes working as the Assignment Editor at WTEN-ABC 10 and the Chief Videographer at WTWS-TV26 in New London, Connecticut. He received his undergraduate degree in Photographic Arts and Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Lillpopp resides in Castleton-on-Hudson with his wife and two children. He is heavily involved with the local charitable organization Rhythms of Hope – The Empire Haiti Coalition, a partnership of churches and non-profits that help provide resources to children and families in Haiti.
